Mary van den Broek

With an earlier Occupational Therapy degree, Mary went on to study Fine Art (Sculpture) at Ballarat University, in 2009, with a subsequent residency at Imagine Gallery Beijing Feb/March 2011 and a Master of Fine Art, RMIT in Melbourne 2014

Mary has worked as an Occupational Therapist in the past and has been pursuing Sculpture for over 20 years, making and exhibiting work in solo and group exhibitions. She won the emerging artist prize at the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show in 2009 and the Dalchem prize in 2012 and 2015 at the Annual Awards of the Victorian Sculpture Society.

Mary has exhibited with Margaret Delahunty Spencer at The Hive Gallery in ‘A Matter of Balance’ in 2023 and more recently with her Family Spheniscidae in 2025 ‘Realms’ with Natasha Chant and again with Margaret- a long-term collaborator and inspiration.
