Anna Vincent completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2016, being awarded the Tolarno Hotel Painting Prize. Over the past five years Anna has exhibited works in two solo shows and featured in several group exhibitions, both within Australia and overseas.
The processes informing her work include travel, photographic documentation, collaging and collecting images which relate to memory, then re-interpreting these to pinpoint the chronicles at the core of her practice.
“My work is a reflection of my constant desire to evolve technically and gain a deeper understanding of the narrative of each piece as it emerges. I have appreciation for the evidence of the “artists hand” My interest in perspective, light and field is always present. Having both a rural and urban background, I have a tendency to focus on the dystopian and isolated areas which merge the two.”
