Wayne Elliott

Wayne Elliott is an Australian outsider, naive artist who has been creating colourful and vibrant artworks for over thirty years. Wayne has exhibited extensively throughout Australia, North America and Europe and his work is included in both corporate and private collections, and public galleries here and internationally.

Wayne has been short listed for numerous international art awards including the Cricket Art Prize, Broken Hill Art Prize and Alice Springs Contemporary Art Prize. Recently, he had the honour of a Solo Retrospective Exhibition at Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery, “Re-Imagined Narratives” from December 2021 – January 2022 and this year has been invited to the 52nd Premio Internazionale di arte naif Pierantonio Cavalli Varenna – Italy. In 2025 he was awarded a $5000 Panel Prize for Emily’s Gap in the Flanagan Art Prize.

His Solo Exhibitions at The Hive include, “Re-Imagined Landscapes” in May 2022, and “Stories from Yonder”, in August 2023 following his travels and exploration of the APY Lands in inland Australia – see the Past Exhibition tab to access these.
