Dawn Robinson uses her work to communicate her expression of human nature, emotion, connectivity and embrace, through sculpture, painting, illustration, photography and writing. Dawn is always challenging and exploring to create forms, whether abstract, conceptual or figurative.
‘With the Yoga series, I am interested in the beauty of human form. How we use our bodies to emotionally express, heal and communicate to self. To convey strength and capture the essence of movement, inner tranquility and sense of peace that the Yoga practise allows.
It is so important in our modern lifestyle to slow down and Just Be!’
Dawn sculpts in clay primarily, working on shape and form. A mould is then created and each figure is refined in the wax form, then cast in bronze at Garage Art Foundry, using the traditional lost wax method.
Dawn is based in Macedon, Victoria.
